I came across a set of photos of New York City at the turn of the 20th century. These photos are breathtaking and a precious reminder of the roots of the city. So many different people and cultures came together on this small piece of real estate to make it the most dynamic and exciting city in the world. These photos are a snapshot of every day life and the growth that ensued over many years. Much of the origins of the old city remain today. Sometimes I feel like I take the city for granted, but these photos remind me of the grandeur and spectacle of New York City.
2Grafik is a design blog started by Graphic Designer Sarah Wu and Web Programmer Akito Nakahara. They share an interest in everything design along with the weird and wacky. They are recovering Web-aholics. The idea for this blog came about after spending hour upon hour sharing links to interesting graphics, ads, Web sites and such. Why not share this stuff with the rest of the world? They might not bring about world peace, save the whales, or cure the world of all diseases, but they can share their love of design.
